Who I Am
Design Strategy
With a focus on human centered design, I apply design centered strategic thinking to business focused goals. These goals are created from the context of each new framework and the insight that this mindset produces.
Hybrid Lens
With training in art, craft and design, my practice is multifaceted in its understanding of the importance of beauty, purpose and sustainability.
Creative Framework
Using tools such as wireframing, journey/behavior mapping, work flows and prototyping are instrumental in my trend-research driven framework.
Understanding your context is where everything begins.
Collaborative Leadership
My methodologies are founded on a belief in empathetic inclusivity, collaborative development, and intersectional challenge. Collaborative competition allows us to build up personal development and create collective growth and empowerment.
An Introduction to Feme
We all experience the need for support – both personally and professionally. We share a collective desire to belong to something beyond just ourselves.
Feme explores the space between women. It acknowledges the agency for change that we strive after, and the need to further empower female communities through deeper intimate engagement.
In a time where the #MeToo and #TimesUp movement have further exemplified an incredible need for change, Feme expounds on the context for a conversation we should all be having.
This Toolkit was built to engage and empower women in understanding their individual and collective capital by creating an intentional relationship with themselves and those around them.
Translate User Goals, Problems, and Behaviours
Behaviour mapping allows us to understand the context of where our problem begins. Knowing how these problems developed create the opportunity for us to categorize our future outcomes. These insights create the data points for setting informed goals and solutions.
Development and Exploration of Design Solution Landscape
Now that the scope of our problem context and demographic have been revealed, we may use our trend/behaviour research to develop potential design solutions. Factoring in paralleled trends in design systems and research methodologies, we begin to narrow down the applicable solution contexts.
Identifying Opportunities Through Evaluative User Research
Developing frameworks through user research/workshops will generate a better understanding of how to respond to the clients needs. Engaging with intersectional experiences and opinions allowed for more diverse feedback. The intimacy of these interactions empowered individual and collaborative growth. Visualized analytics prompted more engaging and innovative questions, leading to better informed outcomes.
Data Visualization, Research Methods and Analysis & Synthesis
Analyzation of larger data sets gave the ability to template responses and help to redefine concept direction. Through the employment of user journey maps, and behaviour cycle engagement platforms, it became clear that individualized outcomes would be a necessary factor in the ability to create unique solutions.
Concept Optimization Strategy
We realized that the one size fits all mentality is ineffective, particularly in this context.
We can cater to user led outcomes by allowing the user to define themselves, what it is that they uniquely require.
By establishing parameters, we can allow these unique responses, the space to become their own solutions by developing an Intimacy Engagement Toolkit.
